Luxury Holidays to the Caribbean
Rum, sea and somewhere to disappear.
The Caribbean might conjure up white sand, turquoise water and a rum punch with your name on it.
And you'd be absolutely right.
But look a little closer and every island has its own personality.
There are glamorous beach clubs and sleepy fishing villages. Rainforest-covered mountains and powder-white beaches. Legendary grand hotels, tiny hideaways and private villas made for bringing everyone along.
The question isn't really whether you should go to the Caribbean.
It's which Caribbean is yours?
Because choosing the Caribbean is the easy part.
Choosing your Caribbean is where we come in.
Caribbean with little travellers
Tiny feet. Very big adventures.
The Caribbean can be wonderful with children — but choosing the right island matters.
A two-hour winding transfer after a long flight feels rather different with a six-month-old in the back. So does a beautiful beach once you discover the water isn't particularly suitable for little swimmers.
We'll think about the things that actually make family holidays easier: flight routes, transfers, room layouts, interconnecting rooms, villas, children's clubs, childcare, baby equipment and beaches that work for smaller travellers.
Through Travel Tots, we can also help take some of the bulk out of travelling with babies and toddlers.
Because having children shouldn't mean your adventures have to stop.

Frequently asked Caribbean questions

There isn't one Caribbean island we'd call “the best” — because Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, Grenada and Turks & Caicos can offer completely different holidays.
If beautiful restaurants and established luxury hotels matter, we might start with Barbados. For dramatic scenery and romance, St Lucia could be a better fit. If the beach is your absolute priority, Antigua or Turks & Caicos may come into the conversation.
The best island depends on when you're travelling, who's coming with you and what you want the holiday to feel like. That's where we'd start.

For much of the Caribbean, December to April is the traditional high season, with warm temperatures and generally drier conditions making it particularly appealing for winter sunshine.
However, the Caribbean covers a large area and conditions vary between islands and seasons. Travelling outside the traditional peak months can also bring quieter resorts and different pricing. We'll look at your specific travel dates before recommending the islands that suit them best.

Barbados and Antigua are often among the islands we'd consider for a luxury family holiday, but the hotel can be just as important as the island.
With younger children, we'll look at direct flight options, transfer times, beach conditions, room configurations, children's clubs, childcare and baby equipment. With older children and teenagers, activities and the freedom to explore become more important. The aim isn't simply to find somewhere that accepts children — it's to find somewhere the whole family will genuinely enjoy.

St Lucia is an obvious contender for its dramatic scenery and romantic hideaways, while Antigua, Grenada and Barbados each offer very different honeymoon experiences.
The better question might be what do you want your honeymoon to feel like? If it's complete privacy, we'd look in one direction. If you want beautiful beaches but also restaurants and places to explore, we'd look somewhere else. We can also combine islands when the journey works naturally.

Absolutely. A luxury Caribbean villa can be particularly good for families, groups of friends and multi-generational holidays.
Depending on the property, you might have private pools, housekeeping, chefs and concierge services while enjoying considerably more space and privacy than a traditional hotel. Barbados and Turks & Caicos are particularly interesting for high-end villas, although there are excellent options throughout the region.

For Christmas, New Year, February half-term and Easter, we'd recommend planning as early as possible, particularly if you're looking for a specific luxury hotel, villa or family room configuration.
The Caribbean's most sought-after hotels and villas can have surprisingly limited availability during peak periods. Booking earlier also gives us more freedom to choose the right room rather than simply taking what's left.
