Luxury Holidays to Cape Town
Cape Town your way.
There are few cities with a setting quite like Cape Town.
Wrapped between Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town brings together dramatic landscapes, beautiful beaches, an exceptional food scene and some of the country’s most distinctive hotels.
Spend the morning exploring the city, linger over lunch overlooking the ocean, wander through colourful neighbourhoods, escape to the beach or simply find somewhere wonderful for dinner as the sun disappears behind the mountains.
Because choosing Cape Town is the easy part.
Choosing your Cape Town is where we come in.
Why visit Cape Town
Cape Town is often the starting point for a longer South Africa holiday, but it deserves to be treated as a destination in its own right.
There’s Table Mountain, of course, but beyond the postcard views you'll find neighbourhood restaurants, galleries and markets, beautiful stretches of coastline and some exceptional places to stay.
One day might take you along the Cape Peninsula towards Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders Beach. Another might involve very little more than a long lunch and an afternoon beside the pool.
And when you're ready to continue exploring, the Cape Winelands are within easy reach.
That variety is what makes Cape Town work so well for honeymoons, couples, families and first-time visitors to South Africa.
A city that gives you a little bit of everything
Hotels our clients are always returning to
City first. Wine country next.
One of our favourite combinations is pairing Cape Town with a few nights in the Winelands.
Rather than visiting Franschhoek or Stellenbosch as a rushed day trip, staying amongst the vineyards allows you to experience a completely different pace — beautiful estates, exceptional restaurants, wine tastings and long afternoons beneath the mountains.
It also creates a natural progression through your South Africa journey.
Frequently asked Cape Town holiday questions
-
We would recommend at least three to four nights for a first visit. Four or five nights does let you explore at a more relaxed pace, particularly if you want to visit the Cape Town Peninsula.
-
It depends on the Cape Town holiday you want. The V&A Waterfront is convenient and polished, Camps Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard put the ocean centre stage, while areas around Constantia offer more space and a quieter residential feel.
We are here to advise on what we think would work best for you.

There isn’t a best month for everybody. The warmer summer period from November to March is particularly popular, but the right time depends on what you want to do and where else you might be travelling in South Africa.
-
We prefer to keep some flexibility around Table Mountain because weather conditions can change quickly. If you wake to a beautifully clear morning, that might be the moment to go rather than waiting for the day you originally had in mind.

For the city’s most sought-after restaurants, yes. Some reservations are worth trying to secure before you travel, particularly during the busier summer months. This is something the team can assist with.
